Home / Carol Mahtab
Carol Mahtab studied art at the Montreal Museum School of Fine Arts and the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London, England. Born in Montreal, she had a lifelong art practise in Canada and the United States, and spent the last two decades of her life living and working in Sandy Cove, Nova Scotia. As an abstract painter, Carol’s work most often used landscape as references, and the work that she produced at Sandy Cove in particular suggested features of landscape shrouded in gentle fog. Restful and reflective, her works always showed a mastery of exquisite and subtle paint effects.
