Rabbit Square,1995
The town of Canning was founded in 1830 by the New England Planters, and is often recalled as the ship building capital of Kings County. Rabbit Square is due north of Canning, beneath the Glenmont Mountain. This line of Siberian Elm trees is rather eye catching even in the winter months as the base and limbs of each tree have an orange tinge to the bark, making them stand out against the starkness of the white snow. Very faintly depicted in the background behind the trees is Cape Blomidon.
