F. Scott MacLeod

F. Scott MacLeod was born in Sydney, N.S. in 1954. Scott is a self-taught artist, and has worked in the mediums of ink, chalk, mixed - media and oil. Today he works mainly in oil on canvas, producing paintings which convey mood and emotion through the use of vibrant colour and bold compositions. Scott refers to landscape as his language. His works are based on restructured memories instead of working 'on site' or from reference materials. Scott has developed a large following in Ontario, but has shown little work in N.S. Long overdue to be represented in his home province, we are delighted to be presenting his work, with a solo show planned for May 2010. His works are found in many institutional and private collections across Canada.
