Stake Net at Short Point, 2002
Short Point is a small point of land between Halls Harbour and Huntington Point, Nova Scotia. This fellow is picking the herring from his stake net at low tide; small herring is typically used for bait in lobster traps. A local boat is anchored off a mooring silhouetted by the moonlight in the background, awaiting the incoming tide to allow access to the harbour.
