Cape Split, Scots Bay, N.S.,1997
As the water moves from the Bay of Fundy to the Minus Basin, it passes through the Minas Channel at a landmark called Cape Split. The Cliffs are over 300 feet in height, now preserved as a Provincial Park with a dubious reputation of danger and beauty. The ebb and flow of the 12 meter or 40 foot tides move over 14 billion tons of seawater per day, creating a tidal force that has proven to this day, unharnessable.
