In 2013 Don travelled to Europe where he expanded and perfected his woodturning expertise, and became a graduate of the Ecole Escoulen Tournage sur Bois in Aiguines, France. He went on to undertake further professional instruction from internationally renowned artisan Alain Mailland at his studio in Chamborigaud, France.
