Lochmaddy, North Uist, 2001
North Uist is the most central island of the chain of islands making up the Hebredes, on the Western shore of Scotland. The Hebredes are mostly unchanged by the modern technologies of today’s urban centres, making for an ideal and inspirational setting any artist. The simple way of life is captured here in this image, as a man tends to his cattle on the wind swept shores of Lochmaddy, the capital village of North Uist.
